But the doctor died in a short time.

Dr. Kaushal Kishor Mishra (Ayurvedic Physician) Guest Editor

The question on systems and medical science is what is the correct answer to these deaths despite young age and modest living

Death always brings a shock. In today’s era, death has become limited to the miseries of a single house or family. But some deaths reflect the apathy and dead consciousness of the society. The same puts a question mark on the system and medical science as well. Jamnagar’s cardiologist Gaurav Gandhi, who led a restrained life in the short life of forty-one years, has shaken civilization with his last visit. While the cardiologists involved in TV debates were engaged in deciding the pathological relationship between false normal ECG report and cardiac arrest, my needle stuck on the number of surgical cases that Dr. Gandhi had done till the age of 41 years. Agreed that he had no addiction to any drug and his life was very restrained but by the age of 41, more than sixteen thousand surgical operations meant addiction to work. If he would have started surgery at the minimum age of 28, then by the age of 41, in a total of 13 years, about 1230 cases would have been disposed of per year, that is, one surgery every four days. Surgery in medical service is a process that exhausts the surgeon physically and mentally. And then it is not just limited to the number of surgeries, it is even more tiring when combined with the number of patients seen in the OPD, I think it is very high. The importance of workload should not be overlooked while analyzing the technical reasons for Dr. Gandhi’s untimely death.

The conditions are even more unfavorable in the government system where doctors are often forced to work under unfavorable working conditions, this is an absolutely unhealthy practice. The responsibility of treating an unwell person in unwell conditions and making him healthy is very challenging and stressful for any doctor. Avoiding cigarettes and alcohol is not enough to avoid heart attacks. Priority should be given to the causes which may be responsible for heart attack. Everyone knows that heart disease is also counted in life-style generated disorders… but unfortunately we do not have any meaningful and concrete plan for this If what is happening in the name of Yogasana is not hypocrisy, then why has no such data has come to the fore till now which shows reduction in lifestyle related diseases! Now the time has come that we ourselves should review the patients around us and their diseases and the immediate causes of those diseases. And by leaving the present food and drink, again turn towards the old method of food and drink.
