Noida Police has caught the gang making fake butter and ghee. Along with this, articles for making fake butter and ghee worth Rs 65 lakh and fake packing of Amul butter and ghee have also been seized.
From the sources of local intelligence and secret information and informers of Police Station Phase 3, it was confirmed that some people in Sector 70 are selling spurious ghee and butter in the market.
Taking joint action after informing the food security officers, the police raided the target house in Sector 70 and arrested 5 people present. According to police sources, 6 accused managed to escape from the spot. In the search of the house, the house was being used as a factory. About 5 quintals of spurious ghee and cheap ghee butter were recovered from the house.

Along with this, fake packing material of Amul and other branded companies has been recovered. The absconding accused are being searched.
The police got suspicious of these people when they were selling ghee and butter to street vendors at four times cheaper than the market price. Due to which the police started keeping an eye on them.
The action of Noida Police is commendable. Call it laziness or negligence or neglect of the Food Department, this fake butter business was booming.


After this action taken on Sunday, what will be the next action of the Noida Food Safety Officers or will the Food Safety Department be limited to this action. However, it is time for residents of Noida as well as street vendors across the country to be careful.
