Street food vending is a popular employment method for the poor in India. Unemployment is the reality of this country. But self-employment is also the reality of this country.

The employment of selling food items on street food vendors is very old. You will be surprised to know how the laborer making Golgappa or ice balls became a mafia? These workers are still laborers but now the street food vendors have been taken over by mafias. These mafias bring laborers from other states and employ them at their street vendors.

You must have also noticed that the person feeding you Golgappa will be from some other state or from a rural area. That is so that the evil deeds of these mafias do not come out. Local labor can create any challenge or problem at any time.

This is also because there is no tax or any government control on street food vendors, taking advantage of which these people set up their small factories in some slums. The artisan who makes the product and the laborer who sells the product stay in the same factory. Street food vendors are sent to different areas of the city.

And the areas where the street food vendors are set up also have contractors who collect rent for setting up the street vendors. And they provide protection to these street vendors from the police and administration.

The wages of these street laborers are fixed according to the daily wages. In the factory where the goods sold on these street food vendors are prepared, fake or expired goods are used along with substandard oil and spices.

The food sold on the street is either fully cooked or cooked. Like golgappa, poha, dahi bade, kanji bade, or half cooked or the main part is cooked like in potato tikki, the tikki is cooked in front but the vegetable of tikki is cooked. Chole Bhature’s chickpeas are already prepared. Chemicals and very bad raw materials are used in their cooking.

There is no control or regulation on these Street food vendors. But what to do with the taste? Only those things are sold on the street which have to be cooked at home, it is not easy for anyone. But everyone wants to have fun.

Due to which the food safety officers should be arrested and the police department should also form a special squad for these food mafias.
