Our country’s relationship with fanaticism is very old and it is also an effective tool of politics. But we are so fanatic about food too. It is also important to know and have fun too. Have you ever eaten sweet potato chips? Or you have eaten red chili ice cream. You must have eaten soft bread and hard toast, but have you ever eaten soft biscuits like bread? Sweet rice is a traditional dish in many places in Indian culture, but like kheer, how many people like sweet rice or sweet khichdi. By food fanaticism,

we mean non-veg and veg, but there are also some other places. Where can we find food fanaticism naturally and globally? Sweet porridge is called Lapsi in Rajasthan and it is also prepared at every auspicious time. But there is no ready-made option for Lapsi. Has anyone sold chilled chutney ice cream or paneer curry with roti? We may like cold Dahibada but Dahibada ice cream? We mostly like salty food hot and mostly sweet in cold. Jaggery or sugar pakoras are called Gulgule but they are not sold in the market. There may be sweet chutney but has anyone eaten sweet lauki or bhindi curry . Jaljeera is the only cold drink in which you can taste chili. Or you can have Golgappa water or Kanji bade water as an exception. Raita masala is sold but readymade raita will be available only at hotels and dhabas  and not at dairy product shops.

We humans have evolved with the same thinking and taste regarding the flavor of every food. Along with the taste of sweet and salty, our tendency towards the things of taste is the same, with this a little manipulation, our attitude and attraction towards taste dissolves and contrasts. This food fanaticism is so dominant that on seeing someone else eating the opposite food, he is called strange or crazy at the first opportunity. A special reason for this is our gradual development and the source of food too. There is certainly an attraction for sugar, but after a limit the hands get raised.

We can eat fruits to our fill because they are sweet because of the natural sweetness fructose and humans have been eating since their inception. But it is not easy for everyone to fill their stomach with sweets. There is also an attraction about salt, we can eat food containing salt with a full stomach and again and again. This is one of the big reasons why in the processed food industry, there is definitely salt with every sweet thing. You don’t feel its taste but it is there. (Read more about salt in the article Salt Addiction.) We often have a natural preference for sweet drinks and salty foods. The taste of every food item is fixed. And whenever someone has tried to change it. He was never successful. That’s food fanaticism.
