Whose milk are you using? Cow’s or buffalo’s milk,
why this discrimination between cow’s and buffalo’s milk,
whose milk have you been using. Cow or buffalo. In a country like India, strange behavior is seen among people regarding milk. Cow and buffalo milk is available for sale in different packs in South India. In the states of North India and the Hindi heartland, only cow’s milk is used. And this thing is nothing less than a joke. It is not that buffalo is not reared in the Hindi heartland. Buffaloes are reared equal to the number of cows. And now many cattle readers give more importance to raising buffaloes than cows. Due to which the fat in buffalo milk is high and continuous milking of buffaloes is done and that too with less expenditure and maintenance. The market price of buffalo is also higher than that of cow. And not even a matter of faith in any way.
Then why would someone take a cow and take a buffalo. But despite all these advantages no one wants to drink buffalo’s milk, everyone wants cow’s milk. Now from your milkman to big corporations and milk co-operatives, they also use cow’s milk and their milk in the name of cow’s ghee. Butter, buttermilk etc. can be seen being sold. There are about 110 million buffaloes in India. So where did their milk go? The behavior of us Indians regarding milk is strange. First of all, we need cow’s milk. ,But how many of us would go to the milkman’s house and bring milk after milking In front of ourselves? Just the milk which is available sitting at home or is available at the colony or locality shop, that is fine. In the name of milk, it doesn’t matter to us whether white water containing fat is real or chemical. Some honest people mix water in buffalo’s milk and sell its 7-8% fat by packing it in the name of cow’s milk by reducing it to 4% as prescribed by FSSAI. Consider this as the kindness of these sellers. Otherwise, nowadays except milk, everything is found in milk which is dangerously harmful for the body, but still the question is why we are not sold buffalo milk in the name of buffalo.
In Hindu beliefs, the ride of buffalo is of the death god “Yamraj”. Like cows, if not all the deities, then one or two deities can be found in buffaloes. A festival is celebrated in North India. “Bachh Baras”. Only on this day Hindu women do not use cow’s milk. And if necessary, they take buffalo’s milk only. On this day buffalo milk reaches Rs 100 to 150 per litre. But on this day the milk of many milk packing companies falls short in the market. From this you can find out the relation between cow’s milk and buffalo’s milk. Well, drinking any kind of milk will be beneficial for health.
